GET ONE WIN TODAY...

SMALL WINS ARE BIG GAME CHANGERS.... Pick one area to work on TODAY.  No matter what get that one thing done.  DO IT AGAIN TOMORROW. 

  • clean your desk off at the end of the day
  •  keep the kitchen clean as you go
  • Go for a 10 minute or even a 5-minute walk                                                               

CHOOSE ONE THING AND DO IT.....no matter what.

 I am a fantastic BAKER.  Kind of weird for a dietitian .... but not really.  I became a dietitian because I had my own food issues and knew if I could learn how to master mine....I could help others win their battles.  Anyway....  When I start eating sweets.... I CRAVE sweets.  I will get up in the night and if they are there....I will eat sweets when my strength is the lowest because I am half asleep.  So how do I start winning again?  One day at a time. 

I set a goal to fast from sweets for 3 days.  That's as long as I can set the goal in the beginning because my body is craving sugar.  The first day is pretty tough..... I persevere because I remember how good winning feels.  The 2nd day is getting a little easier. The 3rd day I have gone through the withdrawals and can draw on that memory to add a string of days together without sweets.  I will set a planned cheat day and allow myself 1 sweet of choice to be eaten out (so I can control the quantity)....and my goal is to be able to have the occasional sweet with control.  I feel so much better about myself and feel better physically so I continue to build on those wins. 

Small wins strung together yield BIG results. 

What is that ONE thing you know you need to challenge this week?  Start SMALL and build on wins.  Oh and share....this gives you encouragement and accountability and in turn encourages others.   WIN THE MINUTE!
